Hello! We had a wonderful trip to the zoo? Here is what is planned for next week: Reading - We will finish up Sarah , Plain and Tall with some fun art activities. Math - A lot of problem solving! Spelling words: book, took, cook, sure, should, stood, wood, put, poor, foot, shook, would, full, cookies, pull, and could.

Week of April 16 - 20

Hello!
Here are the plans for the week:
Reading - We will start the chapter book Sarah, Plain and Tall. Each day we will read a chapter.

Spelling ( long O ) - slow, whole, hope, blow, joke, wrote, show, yellow, goes, toe, alone, hole, snow, close, November, and know.

Social Studies - I will be having Mrs. McMorris' class for the study of Montana

Week of April 2 and April 9

Hello!
In reading this week and next my reading group will be working on plays. We will present them on Friday, April 13 to Mrs. McMorris' reading class. Your child will have parts to memorize.

The only spelling your child might have is if they missed any words on last weeks test. The words to learn are on a blue sheet attached to their test.

Social Studies continues with Mrs. Kangas' class learning about Montana.

Week of March 26

In reading we will be studying the story The Journey.

Vocabulary words are: migrate, survival, plenty, frightening, accidents, solid, chilly, landscape, thunderous, and dramatic.

Spelling words are: October, shop, block, bottle, o'clock, sorry, socks, problem, what, jog, wash, was, clock, bottom, forgot, and body.

Social Studies: We will continue studying Montana cities, rivers, and mountains.

Week of March 19

Reading : Our new story is called Two Bad Ants
Vocabulary for this story: puzzling, scout, unaware, liquid, narrow, surrounded, soggy, glassy, violently, and underground.

Spelling concept: (endings) ending, wished, asked, guessing, laughing, dreamed, rained, meeting, sleeping, handed, painted, filled, reading, subtracted, thanked, and waited.

Social Studies: We will be learning the major river, mountains and cities in Montana.

Week of March 12

We are back to our normal schedule!

Reading - Our story is called Life on the Ice. Vocabulary words for the story are:shelter, region, layer, unexpected, constant, gliding, climate, overheated, colony, and wilderness.

Spelling words for the week: buy, Friday, fly, kind, why, child, mind, try, behind, sky, cry, high, right, by, light, and night.

Social Studies - We will continue our study of Montana and famous people who traveled here.

Week of March 5

Hello!

Math CRT's are Monday and Tuesday for all students.
Science CRT's are Wednesday and Thursday for 4th graders only.

No spelling this week.
In my reading class, we will begin our new story on Friday.
